Tandreia Dixon ’12

My A&T story started long before I ever enrolled. I grew up in Trenton, a one-stop light town in Eastern North Carolina, a small town that raised a girl with big dreams. As a little girl in the early ‘90s, I was brought to campus by my aunt, uncle, and cousins who had graduated from North Carolina A&T State University, and they made sure I experienced homecoming. Even at that age, Aggie Pride left an imprint on me that never faded.

So when it came time to choose a college, there was no decision to make. I applied early to exactly one school: North Carolina A&T State University. I went on to graduate cum laude from the Department of Applied Engineering Technology.

Since then, I’ve built a career in the tech industry and traveled the world, but two goals always stayed at the top of my list: to give back to A&T as a donor, and to come back and teach. In Fall 2025, that dream became real when I joined the Department of Applied Engineering Technology as an adjunct professor. Standing in front of Aggie students in the same department that shaped me is a full-circle moment I don’t take for granted.

North Carolina A&T State University means everything to me. It shaped who I am, and now I am back home making a difference for the next generation of Aggies.

And homecoming? There’s a reason it’s called the Greatest Homecoming On Earth. It’s the place where family, legacy and Aggie Pride all come together, and it’s where my story began.

Here’s to 100 years, and many more to come. Aggie Pride!
