Two of my greatest accomplishments have nothing to do with titles or professional milestones. They’ve been the privilege of watching my younger sister — and now, my daughter — graduate with highest honors from the very same university where I graduated 31 years ago.
What makes this especially meaningful is not simply the shared alma mater, but the legacy of discipline, perseverance and excellence carried forward across generations. Watching them achieve so much in their own distinct and remarkable ways has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
As a proud alumna of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, it’s deeply fulfilling. As a sister and mother, it’s simply unforgettable.
When my sister walked into the engineering office years ago, Ms. Lena Watson took one look at her and immediately asked, “Do you have a sister named LaQuisha?” The resemblance — in appearance, determination, and presence — was undeniable.
Fast forward years later, and at just 7 my daughter already knew A&T would be her home after high school. Watching her continue this legacy feels incredibly full circle. On May 9, 2026 she graduated with highest honors, earning her first degree in kinesiology.
Three generations of excellence, pride and purpose — all tied together by one extraordinary institution. This Aggie Sister, Aggie Mom, and Aggie Wife is Aggie Proud.
